Four Seasons Series: St Hubert’s Church, Idsworth – 2

St Hubert’s Church, Idsworth, Hampshire – Winter

This is the second set of shots I have taken over the past year of my favourite little church, St Hubert’s Church, Idsworth – the little Saxon church in the middle of the field.

As soon as I started taking shots from my first location, a local tipped me off about this location – saying it was the “professional’s favourite viewing point”.  Who am I to disagree – hence this second set of seasonal shots of the same subject – St Hubert’s Church.

St Hubert’s Church dates back to 1053 or at least, that’s the earliest record related to Ear Godwin’s death.  It’s one of the few remains of the manor house that once stood in this location and which was apparently pulled down when the railways came to this part of Hampshire.

It’s a magical little church and even though my two sets of images have now been posted, I think I might still pop over here from time to time – just to see what’s what.
