Inspired by a love of travel, history & culture combined with an innate curiosity about the world, these are the musings of me, Sue Lowry – by past profession a travel PR, now a content provider but by inclination, an artist and photographer.  I am always intrigued by what’s around an unseen corner, what happened on a certain day in history or why a street has been given a particular name.

Mostly focussing around travel in the broadest sense of the word, posts can sometimes veer into uncharted territory as a sudden inclination takes hold. At that point, I become as focussed on the trail as my hero, Sherlock Holmes, so its unsurprising perhaps that I am often accompanied on my meanderings by the second Hound of the Basketcases, a confident and very energetic shih-poo.
