Make a date for your diary as the open days for some of Hampshire’s most beautiful lavender fields – located between Selborne and Alton in Hampshire – will soon be upon us!
There are two open day weekends planned – Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th July and Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th July – 11.00 – 16.00 so why not pop along?
What will you see? Well in my last experience, I took a tractor tour around the fields, wandered through the rows of lavender taking pictures and partook of a particularly fine afternoon tea! I even came home with some lavender which is still valliantly struggling to survive at my home.
This year, there will be craft stalls and chocolate making demonstrations too. The adjoining shops are good value for plants and products made from … wait for it … lavender! Try the lavender fudge … it’s … interesting.
The English Hampshire Lavender Ltd, Hartley Park Farm, Selborne Road, Alton, Hampshire, GU34 3HP. Entry is GBP3 for adults, children under 12 free.
